The Missile Test Dashboard

The missile test dashboard is a database of Indian and Pakistani nuclear capable missile tests conducted since 1999 till date. The data is based on open source information coming in the form of either a press releases or news reports following a test. Dashboard will be updated as and when the missile test is conducted.

  • Based on the statistical missile tests data, the dashboard presents a counter narrative to a common perception that there is a “tit for tat” missile race between India and Pakistan.
  • The yearly missile tests data points to the fact that ratio of missile testing between India and Pakistan is 3:1 where Pakistan has conducted 1 missile test against India’s 3 missile tests.
  • The dashboard also highlights that Pakistan has a modest missile program specifically designed to cater the Indian threat whereas the longer ranges of Indian missile systems suggest that it has global reach far beyond what India realistically needs against Pakistan or China.
