PRESS RELEASE 16th September 2021

Seminar
“Tech for Gender Protection:
Launch of Interactive Map to Help Victims of Gender based Violence”

Islamabad Policy Research Institute and Ministry of Law and Justice have collaborated to use data and technology for efficient implementation of evidence-based policy input, and services for protection of women.

In the first stage of this multifold collaboration, The Ministry of Law and Justice and Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI) have designed a user friendly interactive map of service delivery structure for victims of gender-based violence. We will be launching this interactive map at the seminar.

The seminar “Tech for Gender Protection: Launch of Interactive Map to Help Victims of Gender based Violence” is an attempt to explore how technology and data can play a significant role to ensure women safety and access to justice. In the second phase of this collaboration we aim to develop data pipelines that will allow live monitoring, tracking and updates on the status of reporting and judicial judgements.
