Sustainable Futures: Prioritizing Degrowth for Economic and Social Wellbeing in Pakistan

In light of Pakistan’s commitment to long-term economic and social progress, this policy brief examines the notion of degrowth and its potential use. Degrowth is the practise of intentionally slowing economic growth in favour of social welfare and ecological stability. The brief emphasizes the significance of shifting away from a singular focus on economic growth and moving towards a more comprehensive strategy that also gives priority to other factors, such as social well-being, environmental sustainability, and resource distribution.
